AFRACA operations and activities are currently hinged on the following Five Strategic Pillars
Policy and Advocacy:
Aimed at integration, coordination, and strengthening rural and agricultural finance policies and regulations.
Demand driven bottom-up structured programmes that include peer to peer learning, exchange programmes, workshops/conferences, specialize trainings aimed at professionalizing agricultural lending thus improving access to financial services to the rural.
Knowledge Management and Information Sharing:
Aimed at reaching AFRACA members and the wider public with value adding rural/agricultural finance information.
Partnership and Networking:
This is implemented with regional, international organizations and industry players for greater synergy and outreach in improving financial inclusion in Africa.
Creating opportunities for agricultural value chain finance in Africa
This is done by continuing to interest both private and public institutions in creating business opportunities including Technical Assistance (TA) to members, access to long term fund and risk-sharing guarantee facilities.
