The African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Ngo Bakang Anny Caroll as its new Secretary General.
This appointment follows the decision of the Executive Committee, subsequently endorsed by the General Assembly on 27 October 2025, during the 8th World Congress held in Mombasa, Kenya.
A recognized professional in inclusive finance, rural development, and multilateral relations, she brings to AFRACA over fifteen years of institutional experience gained within the Secretariat, where she has contributed to strengthening partnerships and implementing large-scale pan-African programmes.
In her vision for AFRACA, she intends to focus her mandate around three key priorities:
- Strengthening the Association’s continental leadership through bold public–private partnerships and stronger integration of climate resilience in rural financing strategies;
- Enhancing value for members by diversifying their funding sources, improving internal governance, and developing services tailored to emerging challenges;
- Optimizing the Secretariat’s operational excellence by leveraging pan-African expertise, establishing effective knowledge-sharing platforms, and investing in talent development.
She is a holder of a Bachelor of law. She is a lawyer by profession graduate of the Kenya School of Law, she holds 2 MBAs one in Investment Planning and Portfolio Management, and another one in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. She has been training some AFRACA financial institutions on Agricultural Value Chain Finance. She has undertaken many professional trainings in Digitalisation, fisheries for small fishers, insurance and many others, rural finance, Microfinance, agricultural finance.
