Meeting with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi – During the meeting held on the 3^rdDecember 2024 in Abuja, Nigeria, extensive discussions were held regarding the role of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as the incoming AFRACA chair. The Governor highlighted recent internal changes underway at the CBN, emphasizing their relevance to the institution’s evolving priorities. 

The Deputy Governor Economic Policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi underscored the critical role of NIRSAL as the primary interface between AFRACA and the Central Bank of Nigeria during the transition period, facilitating collaboration and ensuring alignment with AFRACA’s objectives. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will review its position and provide AFRACA with guidance on the way forward.
