The African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association in partnership with the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), Asia-Pacific Rural & Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA), Near East-North Africa Rural & Agricultural Credit Association (NENARACA), FIRA and CICA are pleased to invite you to the 7th World Congress on Rural & Agricultural Finance themed, “Response to the New Global Scenario marked by Climate Change and Covid: Financing as a Lever to Mitigate Direct & Indirect Effects on Rural Enterprises” which will be held from 23 – 25 November 2022 at FIRA Campus, Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico
The 21st century is faced with a myriad of challenges with some are as a result of activities promoted by man with the intention of producing more food. Unfortunately, these activities have adverse consequences such as: climate change, floods, droughts, desertification, loss of diversity amongst others threatening sustainability of human development. These challenges call for innovation to make the agriculture sector attractive and profitable for farmers.
Financial institutions have a role to promote actions that control environmental effects, reduce inequality and establish production systems with greater resilience and reversal of inequalities such as financier & financing catalyst for investment in the generation & adoption of new disruptive technological in the agricultural-livestock and rural sector.
