John J. Amimo

Mr. John Amimo is a Programme Coordinator at the African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association
(AFRACA). He joined AFRACA in September, 2014. Mr. Amimo previously worked for the Coffee Development Fund, a state corporation focused in providing financial solutions and services to coffee producers and SME’s in Kenya. He worked in Resource Mobilization and as a Credit Manager for the Fund, over a period of five (5) years. Prior to joining the Fund, he worked for several NGO’s as Project Manager, managing SME programs in informal settlements in Kenya. He Holds a MSc. degree in
Sustainable Environment Management from Middlesex University, London. He has attended various professional courses in Microfinance, Project Management and is also a GTZ (currently GIZ) trained youth entrepreneurship advisor. Has published several articles on coffee sector financing in the Agricultural Review Journal. He is also responsible for pioneering mobile money financing for coffee producers in Kenya. Also served as a Board Member for the Canadian-based, Finance Alliance for
Sustainable Trade (FAST) from 2011-2014.
