The International Exposure Visit on Digital Finance and Financial Inclusion, organized by CrĂ©dit Agricole du Maroc (CAM) offered participants a unique world of digital finance and its crucial role in financial inclusion. Held in the picturesque city of Rabat, Morocco, from 2nd to 6th October, 2023, the program aimed to showcase CAM’s prominence in financing and supporting the agricultural sector in Morocco, while also highlighting its dynamic digital transformation journey.
The sessions featured diverse demonstrations of innovative digital financial tools deployed in Morocco. The profitability mapping tool presented by the Head of Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches (CERCAM) du CrĂ©dit Agricole du Maroc showcased CAM’s commitment to mapping and tracking the level of financial inclusion. Participants also visited the SMART AGENCY and Machine Room to explore CAM’s digital infrastructure firsthand. The complementary field visits to Benslimane Regional Agency and ARDI, further offered valuable insights into CAM’s regional operations. AFRACA is grateful to CAM for organizing and coordinating such an informative exposure programme. Also not forgetting AFRACA members who participated in the programme, FaitiĂšre des caisses populaire du Burkina (FCPB), Bank of Uganda, CRDB Bank Plc, Xtenda Financial Services, Development bank of Rwanda, Kafo Jiginew and Banque Agricole du Niger.
